For a good many weeks, and actually years now, we keep being told by the trumpists, they will release their health care plan within the next two weeks. You know, the one that will replace the current Affordable Care Act (ACA), aka Obamacare, that will be bigger, better, and cheaper. It dawned on me this… Continue reading trumpists Health Care Plan
Single Issue Voter: Helpful or Harmful
The single issue voter is a curiosity to me, and in some ways haunts me. Regardless of a candidates platform or policies, if that one thing isn’t spot on, but the opposition is in favor of that one thing, regardless of the remainder of their platform and policies, they get the vote of the single… Continue reading Single Issue Voter: Helpful or Harmful
A Day of Decompression
We decided to go commune with nature for a bit today. We were wanting to see some changing of the leaf colors. I’d heard Turkey Run Park was a good place to visit. All the years of living in Indiana I had never been. It was definitely worth the trip. Looking forward to going back… Continue reading A Day of Decompression
Where is the Condemnation?
Did I miss it? Did any trumpists (formerly known as Republicans) come out and condemn what happened in Michigan? It was heartening to see the FBI is still doing what they do best, investigating and finding the bad guys. They did a fantastic job of routing out domestic terrorist in time to stop what could… Continue reading Where is the Condemnation?
Last Band Performance
Due to Covid, tonight marks the end of our marching band season. It has been short, but enjoyable. There were a few invitationals and some Thursday night play-throughs. Hopefully we’ll have a new president, new science, and hopefully a true vaccine by next season. Then let the fun begin again. Plan your vote, then vote!
It’s National Kamala Night
I’m preparing for my evening of watching the Vice Presidential Debate. Hope you will be joining me. Hope you have your plan to vote. Hope, and expect, you to get yourself over to the ballot box to vote blue up and down the ticket. See you at 9:00EST!
Triggers
Being around people who have been in therapy over the past couple of years, the new helpful word to describe things that sets one off is the word triggers. Every day it feels like my list of triggers is getting longer. Are any of these your triggers too: Anytime the current man in the Oval… Continue reading Triggers
A “Celeste” Moment
For those of you who are Sally Fields fans, you would have seen her film, Soapdish. She plays an actress, who every once in a while, when she is feeling unloved and down, goes to the mall to be “recognized” and then adored and fawned over by her fans. Today, the incumbent went out for… Continue reading A “Celeste” Moment
There’s Just Something About a Bookstore
The bookstore was one of my stops today while running errands. As you might imagine, with the pandemic, it had been a while since I’d been able to go to one. I’ve been wanting to stop using Amazon as much as I have been lately, especially after reading the owner has some dealings or affiliation… Continue reading There’s Just Something About a Bookstore
Such Mixed Emotions
What a day, eh? First we find out a key White House staff member tested positive for COVID-19. Then we find out the incumbent tested positive, followed shortly that his wife also had tested positive. Throughout the day, we heard a smattering here and there of who had or hadn’t tested positive (thankfully the Biden… Continue reading Such Mixed Emotions
