Truth. What is truth anymore? Is it what we see on TV? Is it what we read online? Is it the words printed in the newspaper? It is what friends and family tell us in person or via comments on social media, or the many other ways to communicate? Who do we believe when a… Continue reading What is Truth?

Constitutional Originalists
Honestly, how many of us had ever heard the term “originalists” until this past week? I’ll answer honestly, I hadn’t. I’d heard Federalist before, but originalists was a new one. And, based on what it means, it is not a good one to know along with being very bad for most Americans. In reading the… Continue reading Constitutional Originalists
Listen to the Words
I have always loved words. Friday spelling tests were well worth the wait. Misspelled words, especially in classrooms are a pet peeve of mine. Which is why some words of late have been most intriguing. “Person, woman, man, camera, TV?” These words made the most “powerful” man in the world seem the fool. “Stand back… Continue reading Listen to the Words
To Those Who Resist
Tonight I just want to say a simple, but with deep appreciation, thank you to the many thousands of people who stood in hours’ long lines in several states to vote. It is because of your dedication to change, and your resistance to the attempt to suppress your vote, that will help take us across… Continue reading To Those Who Resist

A Day of Decompression
We decided to go commune with nature for a bit today. We were wanting to see some changing of the leaf colors. I’d heard Turkey Run Park was a good place to visit. All the years of living in Indiana I had never been. It was definitely worth the trip. Looking forward to going back… Continue reading A Day of Decompression
Where is the Condemnation?
Did I miss it? Did any trumpists (formerly known as Republicans) come out and condemn what happened in Michigan? It was heartening to see the FBI is still doing what they do best, investigating and finding the bad guys. They did a fantastic job of routing out domestic terrorist in time to stop what could… Continue reading Where is the Condemnation?
Last Band Performance
Due to Covid, tonight marks the end of our marching band season. It has been short, but enjoyable. There were a few invitationals and some Thursday night play-throughs. Hopefully we’ll have a new president, new science, and hopefully a true vaccine by next season. Then let the fun begin again. Plan your vote, then vote!
