Sedition: Supported or Opposed

Tomorrow is the big day! The Impeachment Managers will be in the Senate to present their case for conviction of the twice impeached president. We will get to see the case laid out before the “jury” even as we have all seen what occurred during the lead up to the insurrection and sedition on January 6, 2021.

It will be interesting to see how the case is presented for the very reason we all watched the actual insurrection live on TV. All of us, if you were paying attention, even got to see the planning of the event for months before the actual event itself.

We got to hear and see the twice impeached president whine and lie about the election being rigged.

We got to see and hear the twice impeached president say he was glad to hear and know QANON loved and supported him.

We got to see and hear the twice impeached president say he was the real winner, the election was stolen from him.

We got to see and hear the twice impeached president tell the proud boys to stand back and stand by.

We even got to see and hear the twice impeached president directly incite the insurrection during his January 6, 2021 speech telling those in attendance to fight back, to march down to the Capitol to make Congress and the Vice President overthrow the will of the people, and that he would be with them at the Capitol Building.

The evidence is right there for us all to see and process. Anyone seeing the evidence, and able to think critically, has no choice but to see the twice impeached president is guilty and should be held accountable. If there is any thread of integrity and ethics left in the trumpublicans and Republicans, they will vote guilty and disallow him from ever running for federal office again. Even if that means skipping the vote to allow a guilty verdict by less than the 17 Republican Senators being bandied about now, then stay away during the vote. Not being present doesn’t then require a Senator to make a choice other than the choice of refusing to participate. If that is what it takes for a guilty verdict, make it happen and help keep democracy safe. We will all be the better if you do so.

It is within all of the powers of the Senate to convict in multiple ways. Do the right thing and either vote to convict, or walk away to reduce what two-thirds looks like for the vote. Either works for me as long as the end result is the conviction of the twice impeached president.

Do the right thing for once in your lives trumpublicans and Republicans, please!
