If you know me very well, I don’t like being wrong, which maybe most people feel that way.
But, I was wrong about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. In a previous post about her, I warned her about being a maverick and take a moment to learn from the more experienced representatives.
As I’ve watched her over the past few months, my own opinion and tune are evolving. AOC is right on track. She, and other junior representatives, are exactly what is needed.
Speaker Pelosi is of the old guard who stills believes the traditional rules of engagement still apply. We are so far removed from tradition it’s scary.
AOC has made some missteps, which any new person to a job will do. However, she is also leading the charge for change and speaks to how we working folk are feeling. She speaks bluntly about issues, which is what we need to hear.
We may not want to hear it, but we need to hear it.
So, AOC, keep up the push, keep up the plain and direct talk, keep up working to help is all get woke.
Be yourself and help be the change.
In fact, I’ve come to believe we need more of you and less of Speaker Pelosi.
Thank you for what you are doing, have done, and will do for the betterment of us all.
