It is Saturday, December 26, 2020.
Today 12,000,000 people are slated to lose their unemployment benefits. Most likely their sole means of income.
It means if half of those no longer receiving benefits are married, 18 million people are now in danger.
If just a quarter of those no longer receiving benefits have only one child, 21 million people are now in danger.
21,000,000 people in danger because their source of income expires today. Expires today because the lame duck, and the trumplicans, truly don’t care what happens to them.
All the lame duck had to do was sign his name to a bill. Just one thing that is part of the job he was elected* to do, to protect the American people. Because of his sense of entitlement, his need for power, and his apparent craving to see people hurting he has not signed the bill to help them.
21 million fellow Americans hurting.
