Slow Week

It was a much slower week than anticipated. I had several recipes picked out to give a try, including a roast chicken and vegetables. Next week will be a little slow as well due to some work travel to DC. Hopefully I’ll be able to dine at a great restaurant while there.

Most of you know I make a pretty good banana bread. Every once in a while I’ll try a new recipe to see how it measures up. The one thing I made this week was a streusel banana Bundt cake, and it came very close to my usual result. A difference, other than the streusel, was chopped up fresh banana. Those chunks added just a little extra flavor and definitely helped with moistness.
