We are having a usual feeling fall evening. It is a little cooler with a nice steady rain the past couple of hours. The sound has been so soothing I’ve been just sitting on the couch listening as it falls after doing some baking. I’m so relaxed I no longer feel like putting the dishes away.
In fact, this is going to be a shorter post than anticipated. Since the mood has struck, I’d like to just go sit in my easy chair, recline back, leave the TV off, and read a book while listening to the raindrops hitting the window and tin roof.
I’m reading They Knew by Sarah Kendzior. As a politics junkie for the most part, this book has sucked me right in. With its political intrigue, more clearly defining of conspiracy vs conspiracy theory, and the fact I’ve written similar sentiments in previous blog posts, I feel I’ve met a kindred spirit. There is also a whole lot of dismay as the book accurately describes the societal morose we are currently experiencing. I’m finding it hard to put the book down. If I didn’t have to work tomorrow I’d probably stay up all night to see how it ends.
On that note, Sarah is calling. I must read now! Go enjoy a good book with a spot of tea; we can bond over the ephemeral waves of the universe as we bask in the prose of a good writer.
