Personal Reflections of a Middle-Aged Man

Thoughts and Opinions as I Grow Older

Baking Frenzy

Short update.

Cakes are done and wrapped. I’ll ice and finish decorations tomorrow after graduation. I’m still mulling over attempting tempering some chocolate for a fancy wrapping. We’ll see how ambitious I feel after the graduation ceremony.

The cookies are made and cooling.

I did decide to make the bread I saw, which will become little sandwiches.

Tomorrow is the final bake of biscotti. Chips and salsa will be the final dish since it is a small gathering.

I’ve also started baking my dessert to take to my nephews’ graduation party on Monday.

For the moment, as I wait for the final rise of the bread, I’m sitting on the patio listening to a light rain falling on the tin roof.

Think I’ve earned a moment.
