Photosource: https://thevillagereporter.com/minneapolis-police-station-torched-amid-george-floyd-protest/ Reading through all of the protest and riot news today, two things are stuck in my mind. One is how it appears those who want to start race wars and create anarchy are highjacking peaceful protests. The other is what one person said, “The fires are necessary.” This has left me confused and… Continue reading “The Fires are Necessary”

Pay It Forward, and Backward
The hubby and I were talking a little earlier today about how fortunate we are right now in terms of our employment. We both have jobs in which we have been able to work from home. I’m still getting full pay, he is at 80%. During the Indiana hunkering down, we’ve been able to help… Continue reading Pay It Forward, and Backward
The Patio is Coming!
We have gotten approval to put in our patio and gazebo from the HOA! The gazebo has been ordered and we’ve hired someone to put it together for us. The patio company will be here tomorrow with their contract. Hopefully they can get the patio poured sometime over the next two weeks. That would be… Continue reading The Patio is Coming!

Why is Picture Placement so Challenging?
As I walk around our home, I have missed seeing many of the pictures we had hanging, or were displayed, throughout our former home. They were always a comfort as many were either pictures I had taken of our kids, their artwork we had framed, or paintings/photographs done by friends of ours. To me, nothing… Continue reading Why is Picture Placement so Challenging?
First Gluten-Free Baked Good
One of the ways I’m trying to stay connected with friends and neighbors is through baking (duh!, right?). If they have said they liked something I’ve made in the past or if stated something was their favorite, that is what I’ve tried to make for them. Some of the items have been no-bake cookies, banana… Continue reading First Gluten-Free Baked Good
I Miss My Family and Friends
You wouldn’t think an introvert would utter he misses his family and friends, especially since he treasures, seeks, and needs time alone. But I do, I miss my family and friends. One of the reasons for moving back to the Midwest was to be closer to my family. I’d be able to drive over for… Continue reading I Miss My Family and Friends
