It is truly inspiring to see the pictures and videos posted of the No Kings Day II protests from around the nation, and the world.
There are posts from small towns and large cities. From Dothan (AL) to Logan (OH) to Augusta (ME) to Birmingham (AL) to Chicago and NYC. In blue states AND red states.
The size of the crowds appear to have been larger than the original No Kings Day protests.
It seems maybe, just maybe, people are starting to wake up that our government(s) is under siege.
That they’ve remembered we already fought a war of independence from a king. That we helped win a war against a government that excelled so well in turning its citizens against one another it left 11 million people murdered.
Most likely it is they are feeling the consequences of having Republicans in charge. Republicans who are helping to cover up the crimes of rich and famous pedophiles, keeping them from prosecution. Republicans who have done nothing to bring down the price of groceries. Republicans who are taking healthcare away from those most in need. Republicans who are tearing down the rails that have kept us safe like national security, the judicial system, and health services.
Regardless of why, thank you for showing up and standing up.
We’re glad you are here!
