Personal Reflections of a Middle-Aged Man

Thoughts and Opinions as I Grow Older

Boo Hoo Breakfast

Thank you Zuni PTA for sponsoring and hosting the Boo Hoo Breakfast for our new Kinder families this past Friday. It was the best attended Kinder Welcome Event I’ve been privileged to attend.

As someone new to Zuni, it was very exciting to see so many families attending, meeting one another, and signing up to volunteer. What was particularly touching were the number of PTA members mingling and welcoming the new families, and the high number of dads who were helping. That is not a slight towards the moms and grandmas who often volunteer at schools the most, but a celebration of having everyone involved in supporting our students.

I want to say once again, welcome to our new families, and to our returning families. Please join us as a volunteer to enhance the learning experience of our children and students.

Please try and say hello when you are next on campus. I hope to see you often.

Have a great school year.
